
My name is Lauren Domagas. I’m a Fil-Am writer who is passionate about diversity, particularly Asian representation, in all forms of media. I incorporate my Filipino American upbringing into my writing and use my writing as a means to dive deeper into my heritage.
In 2019, I graduated from the American University of Paris with a B.A. in creative writing. While I was in Paris, I also explored other forms of storytelling such as film, video journalism, and screenwriting. Check out my two favorite videos I’ve ever made: Home and Solar Village.
Recently in 2024, I was won the Adult Fiction category in the San Francisco Writers Conference for my short story Young Men. Young Men will also be featured in my upcoming collection, Songs for Mahalia which is set to release in July 2025. Other publications include my short story Notes on Windsor Drive was published in The Storyteller Magazine in March 2014.
When I’m not writing, I love to cook way too much food for my loved ones, shoot photography, and complete immerse myself in different cultures.
